Removal

1.	Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.	Remoove the driver crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")

3.	Remove the steering column shroud upper and lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel")

4.	Disconnect the electronic steering column lock connector (A).

5.	Remove the electronic steering column lock after loosening shear bolts. (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Column and Shaft")

Installation

Install the electronic steering column lock (A).

Do not reuse the shear bolts.

When installing the new shear bolts to the electronic steering column lock, tighten the shear bolts until its head is cut off.

Tightening torque :

7 ~ 13 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.3 kgf.m, 5 ~ 9.4 lb.ft)

2.	Install the steering column.

3.	Install the crash pad lower panel and shroud panel.
