Removal

1.	Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

2.	Remove the fuel tank assembly. (Refer to Fuel System - "Fuel Tank")

3.	Disconnect the vapor hoses (A) and ventilation hose (B).

4.	Remove the canister (C) after removing the mouting bolts (D) and nut (E).

5.	Remove the canister protector after remove the bolt (A).

Inspection

Check for the following items visually.

–	Cracks or leakage of the canister

–	Loose connection, distortion, or damage of the vapor hose/tube

A: Canister ↔ Atomosphere

B: Canister ↔ Fuel tank

C: Canister ↔ Intake manifold

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal.

Canister protector installation bolt:

3.5 ~ 5.9 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 4.3 lb-ft)
