Removal |

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
|

Remove the under covers (A).
|
3. |
Disconnect the vacuum pump connector (A).
|
4. |
Disconnect the vacuum hose (B).
|
5. |
Loosen the vacuum pump bracket bolts (A), and then remove vacuum pump
and bracket.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
|
2. |
Disconnect the wiring connectors and harness clamps and remove the connector
brackets around the vacuum pump.
|
3. |
Remove the air intake hose.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
|
4. |
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A).
|
5. |
Disconnect the vacuum hose (A).
|
6. |
Remove the water fitting.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Water Temperature Control Assembly")
|
7. |
Remove the wiring bracket (A) and then remove the vacuum pump (B).
|
8. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
Inspection |
1. |
Check the brake warning lamp in the IGN ON position.
|
2. |
Check that the brake warning lamp is ON after the release the parking
brake with a sufficient brake fluid level.
If the brake warning lamp is ON, check the below points.

Installation |
1. |
Installation is the reverse of removal.
|
2. |
Tighten the vacuum pump mounting bolts to the specified torque.
