Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to
the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.

Inspect the clock spring for heat damage.
If any damage found, replace the clock spring.

Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator should come on for about
six seconds and then go off.

through the four gap settings.
The selected gap appears in the
instrument cluster display as shown by the
bars in the image.
Note: The gap setting is time dependent
and therefore, the distance adjusts with your
vehicle speed.
