Replacement

1.	Loosen the wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from front hub.

Tightening torque :

88.2 ~ 107.8 N.m(9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.0 ~ 79.5 lb-ft)

•	Be careful not to damage to the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A).

Disconnect the stabilizer link (B) from the front strut assembly (A) after loosening the nut.

Tightening torque :

98.1 ~ 117.7 N.m(10.0 ~ 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 ~ 86.8 lb-ft)

Remove the tie rod end ball joint (C) from the knuckle by using the SST (09568-34000).

(1)	Remove the split pin (A).

(2)	Remove the castle nut (B).

(3)

Use the SST (09568-34000).

Tightening torque:

23.5 ~ 33.3N.m (2.4 ~ 3.4kgf.m, 19.4 ~ 24.6lb-ft)

•	When using SST, be sure not to damage the dust cover of lower arm ball joint.

•	Keep SST tied to the car because there is a risk of injury by dropping the SST during removing the lower arm ball joint.

•	The peripheral parts may be damaged when removing the lower arm ball joint with a general tool such as lever, so be sure to use SST.

Remove the lower arm (A) from the knuckle.

Tightening torque :

98.0 ~ 117.6 N.m(10.0 ~ 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 ~ 86.7 lb-ft)

Loosen the bolt and then disconnect the universal joint assembly (A) from the pinion of the steering gear box.

Tightening torque :

32.4 ~ 37.3 N.m(3.3 ~ 3.8 kgf.m, 23.9 ~ 27.5 lb-ft)

•	Lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position to prevent the damage of the clock spring inner cable when you handle the steering wheel.

•	Must be replaced with new bolt when assembling. (SEAL-LOCK has been processed)

•	Universal joint for gier box pinion shaft certainly is signed by the insertion.

Loosen the bolt & nut and then saperate the roll rod stopper (A).

Tightening torque :

107.9 ~ 127.5 N.m(11.0 ~ 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 ~ 94.0 lb-ft)

8.	Disconnect the muffler rubber hanger (A).

Loosen the bolts & nuts and then remove the sub frame (A).

Tightening torque :

Sub frame mounting bolt & nut

156.9 ~ 176.5 N.m(16.0 ~18.0 kgf.m, 115.7~130.2 lb-ft)

Sub frame stay mounting bolt

44.1 ~ 53.9 N.m(4.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 32.5 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

10.

Loosen the bolts (A-2ea) and then remove the protector (B).

Tightening torque :

6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m(0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

11.

Loosen the bolts (A-4ea) and then remove the steering gear box (B) from sub frame.

Tightening torque :

58.8 ~ 78.5 N.m (6.0 ~ 8.0 kgf.m, 43.4 ~ 57.9 lb-ft)

12.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

13.	Check the wheel Alignment.

14.	Column and gearbox, the subframe must jaejangchaksieneun GDS equipment, etc. After stripping the MDPS ASP is registering. (Refer to Electric Power Steering - "Repair procedures")
